Birmingham: It is a day of immense joy and pride for the family of Makbul Chowdhury, a familiar face in Birmingham, as his daughter, Maysoon Chowdhury, has achieved outstanding results in her GCSE examinations. For the proud father, however, her achievement is about much more than grades—it is a reflection of her dedication, discipline and sense of responsibility.
For every parent, seeing their child succeed is a moment of enormous happiness. When that success comes through determination, hard work and self-motivation, the feeling of pride becomes even more special.
Today, that sense of pride belongs to Makbul Chowdhury and his family, following the remarkable academic achievement of his daughter, Maysoon Chowdhury.
Maysoon achieved exceptional results across all 10 of her GCSE subjects, securing Double A Star (A**) grades in eight subjects and A Star (A*) grades in the remaining two. Her performance in Mathematics was particularly impressive, where she scored an extraordinary 99 out of 100.
Maysoon is a student at King Edward VI Handsworth School for Girls in Birmingham. According to her father, her excellent results have placed her among the top 20 highest-achieving students at the school, making the occasion even more memorable for the family.
A Proud Father Shares His Feelings
Expressing his happiness following his daughter’s results, Makbul Chowdhury said:
“Today is truly a very happy and proud day for our family. Our daughter, Maysoon Chowdhury, has achieved outstanding results in her GCSEs. Out of 10 subjects, she achieved Double A Star (A**) in eight and A Star (A*) in the remaining two. In Mathematics, she scored 99 out of 100.
“As a father, what makes me most proud is that I never had to tell her to sit down and study. She has always taken responsibility for her own education, studied consistently and worked extremely hard during her examinations.”
For Makbul Chowdhury, this independence and sense of responsibility are perhaps even more meaningful than the grades themselves. Maysoon’s achievement reflects not only her academic ability but also her commitment, discipline and determination to succeed.
The proud father has also asked friends, relatives and well-wishers to remember his daughter in their prayers as she moves forward to the next chapter of her education.
“Please keep my daughter in your prayers,” he said.
Maysoon’s remarkable GCSE achievement is undoubtedly a source of great happiness for her family, school and everyone who knows her. Her success is also an inspiring example of what young people can achieve through dedication, consistency and hard work.
